Matthew Cochran

Mr. Matthew Cochran is an entrepreneur and seasoned executive-level leader, equipped with more than 20+ years of global experience in creating value in startups and propelling divisions of multibillion-dollar enterprises to growth in sales and market share. His offices have been based out of Dubai, UAE since 2003. Mr. Cochran serves as the CEO of the Defense Services Marketing Council (DSMC). DSMC is a marketing incubator organization that accelerates international Defense, Space & Security industry related companies growth and serves as a collaborative organization of business development, public relations and marketing executives who represent industry related companies and service providers globally.

Mr. Cochran is the senior managing partner for DSMC’s government and member organizations and advisory board appointments. He leads the DSMC monthly member and partner workshops to include a working group officially supported by Tawazun that brings focus and feedback to senior stakeholders on Offsets and Defense, Space and Security topics. DSMC was appointed the Strategic Consultant by the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC) to DITEC – The UAE’s Inaugural Defence Innovation, Research and Technology Conference that brought the world’s leading defense research and development center leaders from DARPA and DSTL to the UAE. DITEC was supported by The UAE Ministry of Defense as the strategic partner and officially sponsored by Tawazun, and the UAE Space Agency.

Recently Mr. Cochran moderated at the 2022 Abu Dhabi Space Debate and also at the 2023 IDEX IDC Conference in the UAE. Mr. Cochran is an effective communicator and spokesperson, he is known as a sought-after Board of Advisor for various organizations globally and is a leading keynote speaker and top expert in his field, experienced on a wide range of topics to include but not limited to the UAE Aviation and Space sectors, Middle East Industry, International Trade, R&D, Technology Start-Ups and Defense, Space and Security Industry as well as Offset and Economic Development trends. He has received advanced Executive Education Certificates from Harvard Kennedy School, Dubai School of Government and holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from The American University in Washington, D.C..
